Description

PROCESSING NOTESFirst flush, asamushi-style sencha (lightly steamed), picked early in the spring. Very elegant, succulent, and clean — a classic Japanese green tea that is pure joy. L-theanine, that naturally occurring mood booster your brain releases in yoga class, also occurs in the best Japanese green teas, which is what makes this tea taste and feel so good.
Packed at the farm in small, 50 gram (2 ounce) bags. Be mindful when brewing this to use lower temperature water, to prevent scalding the leaves.

INGREDIENTSOrganic Japanese green tea

HOW TO BREW

Add 1 level TBSP tea to brewing vessel. Cover with 4 oz. cold, filtered water. Steep 2 minutes. Add 8 oz. boiling water. Steep 30 seconds. Decant and enjoy!

Delicious and unique!

I drink sencha every day. This has a subtle umami that distinguishes itself from other senchas I drink. Definitely recommend to add to your tea collection.

Samovar Tea

Thanks for giving the Nishi a try! It's one of my favorite green teas we have. If you like this one, and you also like matcha, you may want to try our brown rice and matcha - sencha blend https://www.samovartea.com/product/ryokucha/. It's a classic Samovar favorite. Thank you!
